Iglesia’s community partnerships reinforce the mission and goals of the business to meet the needs of all learners regardless of age, income or background.Iglesia Educational Centers provides tutoring and academic programming to students at the Iglesia tutoring centers, as well as through contracts it holds with a variety of community-based organizations, school districts and universities.

Iglesia is a NYSED-approved tutoring provider under Federal No Child Left Behind legislation.

Iglesia provides free tutoring to students from the following school districts who qualify under established school performance and household income guidelines:

Rochester City School District

Rochester City School District academic programs

RCSD Pre-Engineering Academy: This Iglesia-designed program exposes middle-school students to principles of biomedical, chemical, mechanical and electrical engineering.

RCSD Math Academy : This Iglesia-designed program provides customized math tutoring to 625 middle-school students.

RCSD SAT Camp : Iglesia has provided SAT preparation for students during breaks, and has helped close to 300 students prepare for the SATs through this program.

Early College Academy - Rochester, NY

Iglesia provides ongoing SAT Prep at this innovative charter school.

Greece School District

Iglesia will provide tutoring to more than 200 Greece School District students, through a partnership with the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and the Liberty Partnership Program.

City Of Rochester

Summer of Opportunity Program “Academy of Educational and Entrepreneurial Excellence”: The Iglesia SOOP Program is designed to  enhance the student’s understanding of the connections between overall success in school, work, and life. Students gain knowledge of various career options and the value of civic engagement through hands-on projects, field trips, guest speakers and site visits. Additionally, throughout the six-week program, the students maintain a journal, and work on Algebra and English, preparing them for further academic success.

Rochester Institute of Technology

Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) : Iglesia has been a GEARUP partner with RIT since 2005. Iglesia has provided tutoring to over 300 RCSD students in grades 7-12 thus far, in all subjects including Math and ELA.

Science Technology Enrichment Program (STEP) : Iglesia’s participation in STEP has resulted in over 35 students in grades 9-12 receiving tutoring and academic programming in all subject areas including Math and ELA.

County of Monroe Department of Social Services Iglesia tutors students in all grade levels who are in foster care. More than 150 students have been tutored including 19 with IEPs and 21 students who are refugees from countries such as Sudan, Guatemala and Haiti.

Hillside Work Scholarship Connection

Iglesia partners with HWSC to improve school retention and graduation rates for RCSD students. Through this partnership, IEC provides tutoring in math, ELA, sciences and SAT Prep.  This year, students in grades 8-12. at Early College, Wilson Commencement, Charlotte and East are receiving free tutoring at school several days a week, and are also welcome to attend one of the Iglesia Centers six days a week.
